I am a Pennsylvania born girl living in North Carolina and loving all things Southern. I am so close to using y'all on a daily basis. I have been planning events for 10 years and fell head over heels in love with Weddings 5 years ago. I love all things fashion, colorful, design, and of course weddings!

DIY Friday! Chalkboard Wine Bottles

April 27

Happy DIY Friday! We love finding fun ways to add character to a table! Turning wine bottles into DIY chalkboard labels is super easy and can be used as table numbers. There are so many ways to use these! We ended up using chalkboard tiles that we found in the scrapbook section. You could use the sticky kind, but our store didn’t carry them.

All you need is:

- a bottle of wine

- chalkboard labels (We tried chalkboard paint and it was a big mess!)

-chalk

-scissors

-glue (we started with embellishment glue, but switched to craft glue)

Measure the chalkboard tiles to 3 inches by 4 inches.

Cut the tiles.

And glue them down! A glue gun would work too and may dry quicker.

Hold the label down and put extra pressure on the corners.

These would be great on the table with centerpieces!

Happy DIY Friday!

Unique Table Numbers!

April 6

Happy DIY Friday!

I love the idea of adding a personal touch to tables, no matter how subtle! We made a frame wrapping the matting in a map from a place that is special to you both. These could be great for table numbers or just alone with a picture from your wedding! You could use where you first met, currently live, honeymoon location, or where you grew up!

All you need is:

-A frame with matting

-A map

-tape (you could use any kind, we used blue to make it clear for the blog)

-scissors or exacto knife (put cardboard underneath if you do this!)

We did this sort of like wrapping a present! Start by placing the matting on the map, being sure that the places are on the mat and won’t be tucked in.

Wrap the edges around and tape them down.

Once you have done all 4 sides, cut an X  in the center of the mat. This gives each side a triangle to wrap up.

Tape up each corner of the triangle!

That’s it!

We put a table number in, but pictures of you as a couple would be great! Or use both and have a keepsake from  your wedding!

Happy DIY Friday!
