Saige + William | Tented Wedding | North Carolina Wedding Planner

You would be hard pressed to find a couple who balances the other better than Saige and William. They were married on William’s family estate at this gorgeous private home wedding. They were surrounded by so much love and support and it was an honor to be a part of their wedding day.

How beautiful to have the couple walk hand  in hand down to be married in front of their loved ones? The sunset glow over the hillside was absolutely breathtaking.

Guest sat on vintage pew benches on the shores of the family’s private little lake as Saige and William mere married.

Guests dined under a beautiful sailcloth tent and then moved back to the other side of the home to be entertained by multiple musical acts.

This wonderful night could not have happened without a fantastic team of vendors:

Vicki + Tom | Broadway Bliss | Private Home Wedding

From the beginning, we knew Victoria + Tom’s wedding would be different, not just different, enchanting. They described their vision for the celebration with a theme of “Blue Moon/Love is…”  and the look as “country casual elegance”. We were thrilled to assist this Tony Award winning actress with such a romantic production!

Victoria chose costume designer Catherine Zuber to create her blush colored gown and walked down the aisle to, “Be Gentle, Be Honest” sung by the original artist, Jane Kelly Williams. Rich purples, soothing creams and lemony yellows were pulled in from the invitations, to the florals, linens and cake.

Guests were greeted with a refreshing glass of a lemon ginger shrub under tall branches strung with candles at the foyer of the Bride’s Brother’s home. A unique cantilevered deck which jetted into the forest was the perfect spot for their vows. T.L., the Bride’s Son, sang “Some Enchanted Evening” which certainly defined the night’s festivities.

Cocktail hour was filled with a mix of Bluegrass and Irish music as gazpacho shooters were preset at each place setting. Guests were served family style on a mix of long and round tables set on the deck just outside the home. One of the most memorable moments came as a friend gave a “Harvest Toast” and invited guests to pick up sunflower seeds that had been scattered on the tables, encouraging them to gift them to those they are thankful for. The toast ended as this spirited friend threw the seeds in the air amid cheers and clapping for the couple.

As if this moment weren’t enchanting enough, the crowd then moved inside for scores of beautiful songs and dancing before the cake was cut and a multitude of desserts were displayed. Events like this are the most memorable because of the intimacy and originality the couple embrace throughout the planning. After all, they only happen once in a blue moon and we were honored to have been there!

Jorie + Brian | Merrimon Wynne Wedding | Raleigh Wedding Planner

bride - merrimon wynne house

Jorie is such a natural beauty! Her unique style translated so beautifully with the Merrimon Wynne House as the backdrop. She and Brian wanted a laid back, fun, and fanciful wedding celebration — we think her bouquet captured that essence perfectly. She chose a mix of pastels and wild greenery to give it such an organic look and feel. The illusion neckline and lace detail on her Ivy and Astor gown were stunning.

rose gold wedding rings

The couple chose rose gold for their wedding rings – very on trend for 2016!

Another trend that we love — mix and match bridesmaid gowns. We especially loved the color pairings Jorie chose for her bridal party. Her maids carried complimenting bouquets adding to the “boho chic” style of the wedding day.

Jorie and Brian treated their guests to lawn games as dusk fell on their reception. The couple danced away under a chandelier adorned tent to the sounds of jazz tunes from Adrian Duke.

How delicious do these mini mason jar dessert shooters look! Just the perfect amount of Southern inspired touch!

Thank you to the great team of vendors that came together to make Jorie + Brian’s day happen!

Meredith + James’ Carolina Inn Wedding | Erin McLean Events | Chapel Hill Wedding Planner

Meredith Petty2

When I first spoke with Meredith + James, they said their focus for their wedding day was to be hospitable to their guests, for the family to really enjoy it and to have a seamless flow. Right off the bat, I knew this was a gracious couple who came from amazing families and would be a joy to work with! As if that weren’t enough, their taste was impeccable and the entire event was stunning. Each and every detail was unique and hand-picked by the couple and even the perfect spring weather fell in line perfectly with their vision.

Sometimes the simple elegance of garland and peonies says it all for a ceremony. Loved the draping of the ceremony space with greenery and these perfectly blooming Bridesmaid’s bouquets.

How much fun is this party dress and his open bow tie with suspenders?! Meredith + James were having so much fun at the reception, I could barely coax them into exiting through rose petals and onto a UNC golf cart. None of us wanting this night to end!

Meredith + Vance's Carolina Inn Wedding – Chapel Hill Wedding Planner

Many a conversation had been had about Meredith and Vance’s outdoor ceremony – and they REALLY wanted it outdoors! They were determined to keep their ceremony in the Hill Courtyard and it truly turned out beautifully. There was a mist in the air and it created the most romantic setting as these high school sweethearts tied the knot under lanterns and flowers floating from the trees. The Groom proudly wore an N.C. State tie and the Groom’s cake was an N.C. State baseball hat! The Bride looked stunning in Vera Wang and Jimmy Choo. As guests entered The Old Well Room at The Carolina Inn, they were greeted with sprays of white and pink flowers – the most gorgeous pink English Roses filled the air with a fabulous scent. We loved the assortment of cakes from old family recipes, cinnamon biscuit mix favors, and tiny wolf Photo of justin biebers new album getting pulled over last night. poking out from their wedding cake! The couple created a pretty mix of Southern hospitality with timeless elegance. But nothing was as pretty as their sweet interactions and display of true admiration for one another. Meredith and Vance were just one of those couples you knew were right for each other. Not just right, perfect! Congratulations to this awesome couple and their amazing families. What an honor it was to be part of your wedding!

Celebrity Dairy Farm Wedding

Stephanie & Pat were married this past summer at Celebrity Dairy Farm in Siler City. Their big day combined vintage elements with hints of southern hospitality resulting in a truly lovely summertime wedding.

These gorgeous colorful flowers were from Knot Hill Flower Farm.

Thanks to Megan Kime of Megan Kime Photography for these fabulous images of Stephanie & Pat’s special day.

Mason jars were used as decor throughout the ceremony and reception adding a taste of vintage inspiration.

Love these images of the new Mr. & Mrs.

Lanterns are a beautiful way to add a romantic touch of elegance as the sun goes down and these mason jar lanterns were the perfect touch for Stephanie & Pat’s relaxed outdoor reception.

Their vibrant yellow cake incorporated elements of the the outdoors.

For favors, the couple chose to stick with the theme of their venue and give their guests sweet scented goat’s milk soap.

Congratulations, Stephanie & Pat!
Garden Wedding in Chapel Hill

Emily and Mike”s big day in October was truly one of a kind. This Chapel Hill wedding took place in a gorgeous secluded garden behind the home of the bride”s father. Between the large cedars and pines and the babbling streams this venue felt like a setting out of a fairy tale.
Makeup Art by Jenny did the bride”s makeup.
The bride and groom took some time to connect and snap a few photos, thanks to Jeremy Lange, before the ceremony took place.
The couple had a sitar player perform background music while the guests were Subscribe You could use our Alert Service too!Select your language:       Campaigning We raise awareness and disseminate information on the importance of worker’s health and construction site safety for European social and economic stability and growth. seated.
This statuesque tree was the perfect backdrop for the bride and groom to exchange vows.

Natural elements were even incorporated into the favors. The bride did these DIY centerpieces of potted impatiens which the guests took home as favors at the end of the evening.

Mercury Band from New York set the mood for the reception with their music. A cocktail hour in the garden followed the ceremony before guests moved under the tend provided by Party Reflections for dinner.

Catering Company of Chapel Hill served a delicious Asian inspired menu.

The cake was an angel cake made by one of the bride”s friends.

How creative is this origami cake topper?

This bohemian inspired photo booth was a surprise from the bride”s brother.

After dinner, the wedding party and guests moved back out into the garden for an evening of dancing.
