Ideas for a Red Hot Bachelorette Party

January 3

We had the wonderful opportunity to team with Weddings Magazine to plan and design the perfect red hot bachelorette party. Read on for our tips for how to plan your own.

Choosing an exciting activity to center you party around is a great way to break the ice and encourage guests to mingle with one another. For our bachelorette party at The Red Room in Downtown Raleigh we chose their Thursday Salsa dancing night as the basis for this trendy bash.

The Red Room’s decor features blue, red and amber. We wanted to accentuate the venue’s decor, so we chose to use shades of coral, amber, and burgandy which are “all colors that are going to be very popular for 2011.” In addition cool, icy blues were used as accents throughout the venue decor in order to subtly contrast the warm tones without clashing.
Instead of traditional chiavari chairs, which are popular and widely used at weddings and events, we opted for a more unique chair option choosing the sleekly designed chameleon chair. Chameleon chairs are very similar to classic chiavari chairs, but offer a slightly more modern look for those desiring a contemporary feel for their event. Small burgandy tassles were fixed to the back of each chair to add an additional touch of luxury to each place at the table.

Sangria is one of The Red Room’s signature cocktails. In order to play off this idea along with our salsa theme, the centerpieces were made from beverage glasses and featured red stones, incorporating the warm decor themes, along with tall calla lillies tied with blue ribbon for the accent color. These centerpieces turned out great as they were large enough in scale to make a bold statement, yet at the same time did not hinder guests’ conversation or view when seated at the table.
Tapas are a chic choice for any celebration, especially bachelorette parties, and fortunately The Red Room specializes in a delicious tapas menu. The tapas menu even featured oyster, a red hot menu option at many contemporary events. In addition, cupcakes topped with red icing flowers were the dessert of choice offering a stylish finish to one very classy meal.
